Team's Financial Needs
  • The team needs $10,000-$20,000 every year to design and build a competition worthy robot.
  • It costs about $10,000 just to compete in 2 regional events and 1 district competition each year.
  • FIRST charges an additional $5,000 to register for the world championship when we qualify, not counting student travel, shipping the robot, additional materials, etc. If we wanted to support all 50 students plus chaperones to attend, it could easily cost $80,000 or more.

FIRST LEGO League
  • Each FIRST LEGO League team requires a registration payment to FIRST, T-shirts, equipment and seasonal materials. Parents are charged only a fraction of the actual cost.​
