FIRST LEGO League Explore (Formerly FLL Junior) has been newly formatted for 2020 and is designed for students in grades 2-4. Teams will meet on Zoom this season, but parents will be required to assist in moving equipment, such as a poster board or a LEGO model, from one home to another up to once per week (but probably only about 4 times).
If you let the model sit untouched for 72 hours, there should be no health risk in sharing equipment this way. Please click on the link below for the research, and feel free to update me if you find something more recent!

FLL Explore teams are 100% dependent on the coaches. We are so lucky to have so many willing parents in our community. Coaches are expected to read the coach manual ahead of the season and be familiar with the student workbook to prepare activities for each meeting. They are responsible for every aspect of leading the team along a fun journey, culminating in sharing a completed model and trifold display at the Expo!
What is FLL Explore?
FLL Explore Expo
The 2021 FIRST LEGO League Explore Glastonbury Expo might be held at Gideon Welles School on Saturday, March 13, 2021. If we still don't have a vaccine, we will try to work out a virtual share.
(snow date March 20, 2021)
Benefits of Participating
Students that participate in FLL Explore are more likely to participate in other FIRST programs, like FLL Challenge and FRC. FRC prepares students for jobs and qualifies them for $$millions$$ in FIRST scholarships.
